The James Brown classic I’ll Go Crazy does exactly that. Reminiscent of the footage of Brown being led off stage, too emotional to continue the show, then returning to the mic to deliver more whoops & hollers, Edwards’ rendition starts as a threat - “I’ll go crazy - oh yeah” - and ends as a promise, with ear-shattering screams, searing saxophone squeals (a la James Chance) and jagged Ribot/Quine-esque shards of guitar underpinning the madness. Oh yeah.

The vocal rendition is coupled with the non-album cut of the instrumental version of I’ll Go Crazy which allows the listener to perform his/her own version. Call it the ‘karaoke’ track...
